As President for the 2,000+ Member Grand Rapids Association of REALTORS, Lola initiated innovative new programs such as the International program, Grand Rapids Association of REALTORS Leadership Academy and 50,000 Points of Light community service campaign.
Lola has negotiated millions of dollars of debt forgiveness and concessions for clients during the economic crisis with local, regional and national lending institutions and organizations.
Today, Lola is involved with two organizations: LA SPEAKING and Next Advance Training Systems. Through her work in Cultural Intelligence, she designs and trains individuals to use their understanding of cultural narratives and unconscious bias to transform their environments and workplaces.

As a leader, Lola’s ability to recognize and adapt to changes in an increasingly uncertain marketplace is one of her greatest assets. In 2011, she became the first minority and African to lead West Michigan’s largest real estate industry trade group, the Grand Rapids Association of REALTORS. Lola has also served as a Director for the State of Michigan through the Michigan REALTORS and the Board of Real Estate Brokers and Salespersons. For over two decades she has successfully negotiated hundreds of transactions and secured over one million dollars of concessions and debt forgiveness for clients who were underwater in their mortgages.
